Welcome to my * NEW * Series: #AltThisrtyThursday
I'll be posting weekly to highlight my favorite beverages of the #NA variety.
I wanted to create something unique and personal to post on #Thursdays that would also be fun and valuable to you! ......And wasn't #ThrowbackThursday, #ThursdayThoughts, #ThirstyThursday, #ThriftyThursday, or... well... you get the idea.... I wanted this Thursday post to be something accessible to everyone and be inspiring and positive....
And thus, #AltThirstyThursday was born!
With movements like the giant morning dance parties, #WednesdayWisdom in excess, and review posts being ever popular, I wanted to share something I love and already do on the daily: reviewing TEA! I'll review/share other things such as smoothies, juices, and the occasional coffee/cappuccino situation, but for the first few months I am starting with TEA TEA TEA.
With my feeling being summed up thusly today, Roses really hit the spot.
"Darkness cannot drive out darkness; only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate; only love can do that."
I'm so happy to be featuring a tea that highlights rose petals! That wasn't planned. <3 #JustAnotherTeaMiracleMomentForYa
Here is a snippet from THIS ARTICLE about the health benefits of rose essential oil...
Roses are widely considered the most beautiful flowers in the world. The flower is an integral part of innumerable stories, legends, myths and legacies. With its varied colors, incomparable fragrance and range of shapes and sizes, you can find one for every mood and occasion. People who do not know about any of its medicinal properties can still tell you of one undeniable property; a beautiful, red rose can invoke romantic feelings in even the hardest of hearts. The health benefits of Rose Essential Oil can be attributed to its properties as an antidepressant, antiphlogistic, antiseptic, antispasmodic, antiviral, aphrodisiac, astringent, bactericidal, cholagogue, cicatrisant, depurative, emenagogue, haemostatic, hepatic, laxative, nervine, stomachic and uterine substance.
Zhena's Gypsy Rose Tea:
Finest Black Tea Blended with Pink and Red Rose Petals
SUSTAINABILITY: Organic, Fair-Trade, 70% Recycled Tin (yay!) (100% recyclable)
SMELL: Like an aromatherapy moment - blissful, calming, loving.
TASTE: Strong Sri Lankan Black Tea, prominent rose flavor and aroma without feeling like you're drinking potpourri or perfume! Tolerable if over steeped, but I recommend removing the tea bag after 3mins for the perfect cup, and can be re-steeped if you remove it at this time, the next cup is much lighter but still enjoyable
OVERALL: >>>---> I LOVE THIS TEA <----<<<
It's safe to say that flowery tea is a staple in my tea cabinet! BTW: Did you see my Instagram story today? You'll get a glimpse into how ridiculous my tea cabinet is.... lol
I had been drinking a lavender earl grey nearly every day - a review of that one coming later - however I switched to this lovely rose garden of a tea after seeing it in a grocery store I don't usually shop at. What luck, because I'd just run out of my prized lavender black tea! It was like a divine intervention. A tea miracle! A sign.... lol.
Ok, Ok, but seriously, this tea really does encourage me to take a deep breath and let go of shoulder tension and crinkled forehead. #JustAnotherTeaMiracleMoment (Too much? lol)
I enjoy this tea with a touch of honey, sometimes. <3
***As a side note, I've tried rose green tea in the past, and it wasn't my favorite. My personal opinion is that black tea lends itself more in favor of the rose than green tea. But that's just me. :)
So, what do you think?
If you try it, please let me know in the comments below!
