Following a hunch on a scroll through Instagram I found myself sending a message to @Mor.Wares, curious where the message would lead. In my life, there have been a few times when taking that first action to reach out and ask about something I was curious about has made a lasting impact on my life. This time, when I got a response, I had no idea it would lead me towards creating this amazing series for you all... As the winter brought us a new year, I have described to start something new. Following the urge to create something different, and differently than I’d been creating. Following the nudge towards YouTube, I am starting the Radiant People Series, a super fun interview series to share the stories of creative, heart centered entrepreneurs and artists, making and creating positivity and powerful changes in our world - told to inpisre YOU! I love connecting with people, and this urge to connect combined with a new found love of editing and putting together videos, has brought me to this natural next step, and the first “Yes” to an interview has guided me to make it happen now.
This past week I did my first interview with Jo from Mor.Wares who is a very thoughtful eco-friendly embroidery designer out of the UK. Her work is high quality, bringing the best of mindfulness, self-love and a deep desire for connection with nature, together with highly wearable, comfortable T-shirts and Jumpers / Sweatshirts (depending on where you live) that make you feel inspired when you wear them. Just putting on my Cosmic Queen Sweatshirt/Jumper makes me feel like: “Ya, you know what? I AM A COSMIC QUEEN.” She’s recently designed (with the help of someone special (Watch the video for that story!)) a potent “Positive Power” embroidery design, that will make your heart swoon. It’s these simple gentle reminders that separate her work from the average embroidered top. We all love coffee and snarky sayings, and yes, I too dig good vibes - but lets go deeper. Let’s get at the heart of things. Let’s feel a little more, and share a little more of our true vulnerable selves with the world. If we can allow ourselves to be more honest with what we wear, do, share, and just how we “be” in the world, I truly believe we can create a better [insert your town/city/community here]. This local change (I believe) creates a greater world wide change. With passion and action we can create great miracles. I love that Jo has combined her passion for small business, technical embroidery skills, a love for designing (along with her special assistant in the design process), and her desire to share something positive in the world into a beautifully crafted brand that is not only all of that but it’s eco-friendly to boot. Tune into the FIRST EPISODE OF THE RADIANT PEOPLE SERIES THIS WEEK for Jo’s story and our witty banter! Be sure to subscribe on YouTube and hit the notification bell so you don’t miss out on this heart-centered story. With all the love & gratitude for the radiance you share with the world, -Erin
